About this policy
Fashtech Academy ("we", "us") runs the website fashtech.in and its courses for NIFT entrance preparation. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and the choices you have. It is written to align with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000. By using the site you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- Account details: name, email address, mobile number, and the programme you are preparing for.
- Learning data: lessons opened, practice answers, scores, mock-test results and time spent, so we can show your progress.
- Payment details: the payment partner processes your payment. We receive only the order status, amount and a transaction reference. We never see or store your card, UPI PIN or net-banking password.
- Technical data: device type, browser, IP address and basic usage logs, for security and to fix problems.
- Messages you send us, for example by email to info@efashtech.com.
Why we use it
- To create your account and give you access to the course you bought.
- To save your progress and show your results.
- To process payments, send receipts and handle support requests.
- To send important service messages such as password, payment or exam-date updates.
- To improve the lessons and keep the site secure.
- We send promotional messages only if you agree, and you can opt out at any time.
Sharing
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We share data only with service providers who help us run the site, such as hosting, payment, email and analytics providers, and only as needed for that purpose.
- We may disclose data if the law, a court or a government authority requires it, or to protect our rights and users.
Children
Many learners are under 18. If you are under 18, please use the site with a parent or guardian's consent. We do not knowingly collect a minor's data without that consent, and we do not show targeted advertising to children. A parent or guardian can write to us to review or delete a child's data.
Storage and security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards such as encrypted connections and access controls. No system is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security. We keep your data while your account is active and for as long as needed for legal, tax and accounting purposes, then delete or anonymise it.
Your rights
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct wrong or incomplete data.
- Ask us to delete your data and close your account, subject to legal record-keeping needs.
- Withdraw consent for optional uses such as promotional messages.
- Nominate someone to exercise your rights if you cannot.
- To use any right, write to info@efashtech.com. We aim to reply within 30 days.
Changes
We may update this policy. The latest version will always be on this page with its date. Continued use after an update means you accept it.
